The brochure site for York South — a quiet, adults-oriented caravan park in open countryside near Cawood, 20 minutes from York, offering 12-month seasonal pitches for touring caravans and motorhomes. First built in 2016 on Yii, then redesigned and replatformed from the ground up in 2026.
Seasonal pitches, facilities, location and directions, a photo gallery with a keyboard-friendly lightbox, a drone flyover video of the site, links out to Google, Facebook, Tripadvisor and UK Campsite reviews, and a holiday-lodges page ready for the park's next phase. Every page funnels towards the two things that actually fill pitches: a phone call or an enquiry form.
A fresh, photo-led look built around aerial shots of the park, with the copy rewritten to say plainly who the site is for — a peaceful park without children's facilities — so enquiries arrive from people it suits. Tariffs, site rules and privacy, cookie and terms pages are all in the new build.
A static Astro site with build-time responsive images (WebP at multiple sizes), served from Cloudflare Pages. The contact form posts to a Cloudflare Function behind Turnstile, so there's no server or database to maintain. Pages are a few kilobytes of HTML with next to no JavaScript, so it loads fast on a phone with one bar of signal — which is how most holiday-planning visitors find it.
