The public site, custom CMS and cross-platform mobile app for The Venue Selby — an independent music and events venue in Selby, North Yorkshire. Built to keep fans on top of the gig calendar and the owners on top of bookings without one having to chase the other.
Fan-facing: upcoming events, venue info, booking enquiries, SEO-ready pages. Operator-facing: user management, page editor, Facebook Events API integration (so the events calendar stayed single-source-of-truth on Facebook and mirrored here automatically), and a custom page-management layer for venue copy.
Alongside the site, a cross-platform mobile build shipped — different stack, new tooling, some new kit on the desk to develop on. Same source of truth as the web build, so events updated everywhere together.
Yii / PHP / MySQL for the web side, Bootstrap front-end, Facebook Events API integration for the events calendar, plus a separate cross-platform stack for the mobile app.
